Rebuilds start at $1,200. Call or text (505) 263-8822 or email lonestararms@yahoo.com.
Michael Rogers is the gunsmith behind Lone Star Arms. He specializes in high-performance rebuilds and conversions for Saiga 12, Vepr 12, and Kalashnikov USA KS-12 / Komrad shotguns. The shop does mail-in performance work from the Bacliff / San Leon, Texas area. The mailing address is Lone Star Arms Gunsmiths, PO Box 8177, Bacliff, TX 77518.
This is not a general gun shop. Lone Star Arms takes a shotgun down to the barrel and receiver and rebuilds it. OEM parts and 922r components are refined, honed, fitted, tuned, and balanced so the gun can cycle a wide range of commercial 2¾" and 3" 12-gauge ammunition, including loads other Saiga, Vepr, and KS-12 builds often will not. That is the whole business.
A comprehensive high-performance rebuild is currently $1,200. Typically, a high-performance build with customization ranges from around $1,200 to $2,500, depending on the optional features and equipment desired. Custom builds are not priced to undercut whoever is cheapest this month. They are priced for the time the work takes.
Who sends guns here
Private owners send Saiga 12s, Vepr 12s, and KS-12s that will not run cheap practice ammo. Competition shooters send guns that have to keep working on the clock. Law enforcement and military customers send guns that have to train and work with the same platform. Chief Terry Krelle wrote that Central City PD adopted an LSA Saiga 12 as the official patrol shotgun. Other named customers on the Testimonials page include U.S. Border Patrol officers, a retired USNSWC / USSOCOM officer, and a deployed U.S. Army chief warrant officer.
Military, law enforcement, and first-responder discounts are available. Ask when you request a quote.
